The workshop experience
As constellations are unfamiliar to some leaders John takes care to set a context and build a shared understanding of the approach, the underpinning philosophy and the methodology. In this way leaders and senior managers can learn, in a safe and facilitated context, about organisational health and see constellations in action, taking part as they wish, when they feel ready. There are always fresh insights and new information to take away as well as the opportunity to experience the many benefits of this remarkable methodology.
The workshops which can be of any size from 8 to 80, and be as short as a day or as long as three days, include opportunities to learn through:
- An introduction to systems, system dynamics and systemic leadership
- An exercise in which everyone can explore their own relationship with a particular difficulty or challenge (personal, professional or organisational) using short-form, confidential ‘blind’ constellations
- Facilitated group constellations in which leaders can bring a professional, leadership or organisational issue for exploration, clarification and a fresh forward direction from the inertia, conflict or dilemma
- Questions and answers about systems, inertia, leading change, organisational health, leadership, career transitions etc
- The embodied experience of being a representative in others’ constellations
- Group discussions, small group work with constellations
- Closing comments that support deeper insights into organisational dynamics, systemic leadership and organisational health
